AMJON Partners with School of Eloquence to Elevate Maritime Journalism

All is set for the 2024 edition of the Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) annual training for maritime journalists.

This year’s ‘Special Edition’ is a collaborative effort between AMJON and the renowned public speaking training institution, the School of Eloquence.

Scheduled for Friday, June 14, 2024, at the School of Eloquence premises on Osborne Road, Ikoyi, the training will feature experts from the Nigeria Customs Service, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), and the School of Eloquence. These experts will guide journalists through the intricacies of their respective operations.

AMJON President Paul Ogbuokiri highlighted the necessity of ongoing training to keep pace with industry trends. “Journalism has evolved significantly, and we must equip ourselves with modern tools to stay relevant. This partnership with the School of Eloquence is a crucial step in enhancing our reporting skills,” he stated.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Segun Oladipupo, emphasized that the event would enable journalists to elevate their reporting skills. He encouraged participants to embrace the opportunity to learn new journalism trends and understand the business aspects of their profession. He also expressed gratitude to the School of Eloquence for providing this valuable platform for Nigerian journalists to advance in their careers.
