APC members fingers Omo-Agege’s loyalists over missing forms

THE three-man All Progressives Congress National Committee on the sale of Ward Congress application forms in Delta State, is said to be stranded at the party secretariat in Asaba.

This, it was gathered, followed the disappearance of the application forms.

A member of the Delta State Caretaker Committee of the party, however, accused the Caretaker chairman, Jones Erue and Mr Nick Ovuakporie, who are loyalists to the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, of hijacking the materials.

Briefing journalists in Asaba, the state executive committee members said the sales of forms were supposed to have commenced on Wednesday.

This was contained in a press statement read by the state Deputy Chairman, Elvis Ayomanor, flanked by the Secretary, Caretaker Committee, Okonji Chidi, and the State Organising Secretary, Amorighoye Mene.

He said, “With us at this press briefing are the three-man national committee on the sale of congress application forms in Delta State. The sale of congress application forms to interested applicants for the ward, to be held all over Nigeria on the 31st of July, 2021, commenced all over the country on Thursday, July 22, 2021.

 

“Today (Saturday) is day three of the sales of forms but half of the total forms, that is, only three out of the six bags of the forms taken away were dumped Thursday night.

“The three-man national committee on sale of forms has informed us that on arrival in Delta State on Tuesday, 20th July 2021, the S.A. (special assistant), Media to Prophet Jones Ode Erue, the State Caretaker Chairman, Nick Ovuakporie, with the assistance of security officials, posed as the State Organising Secretary and requested that the forms be given to him for safe custody.
