The Executive Council and Members of the African Public Relations Association (APRA) extend their heartfelt condolences to all Kenyans in light of the recent crisis in the Republic of Kenya. APRA stands in solidarity with their colleagues in the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) during this difficult time.

Omoniyi Ibietan, Ph.D., fnipr, Secretary-General of APRA, emphasized the need for the Kenyan government to prioritize the well-being of its people. He urged the government to engage in empathetic and open stakeholder consultations, as suggested by the Presidency, to facilitate reconciliation.

“We commiserate with the families of those who died and wish a speedy recovery to those injured during the protests. We fervently pray for the repose of the souls of the deceased,” Dr. Ibietan stated.
