In a bid to promote insurance awareness and contribute to societal well-being, the Association of Registered Insurance Agents of Nigeria (ARIAN) has joined forces with the Insurfeel Initiative to extend a philanthropic gesture worth N12 million. This initiative entails providing Uni-personal insurance covers to five uninsured spectators attending the eagerly anticipated 2024 ARIAN football tournament. The tournament, set to commence tomorrow, Saturday, May 4th, will take place at the Armed Forces Resettlement Centre in Charity, Oshodi, Lagos.

The President of ARIAN, Kazeem Odewunmi, shared this benevolent initiative with journalists, emphasizing its dual purpose of mitigating risks for the uninsured while enhancing their enjoyment of the football matches. Odewunmi underscored ARIAN’s commitment to societal welfare through initiatives like this, highlighting their partnership with Insurfeel Initiative as a testament to their dedication.

Furthermore, Odewunmi announced exciting rewards for the tournament’s participants, with the winning team slated to receive N500,000 along with additional prizes. Notably, nine teams representing various insurance companies will vie for victory in this third edition of the tournament, fostering camaraderie among industry professionals and bolstering awareness of insurance practices.

Echoing Odewunmi’s sentiments, ARIAN’s Public Relations Officer, Kayode Ogunwuyi, emphasized the tournament’s significance in fostering sports development and promoting peace within Nigeria. He assured the public of stringent security measures to ensure spectators’ safety throughout the event.

Chuks Udo Okonta, the driving force behind Insurfeel Initiative, expressed delight at collaborating with ARIAN on this noble cause. Okonta reiterated the initiative’s mission to mitigate risks and alleviate poverty through the donation of insurance policies to the uninsured. He urged individuals and organizations to join their cause, aiming to donate one million free insurance policies by the end of 2025.

The Uni-personal insurance cover, provided by Universal Insurance Plc, offers comprehensive protection against various risks encountered in daily life, including accidents and personal liability. With benefits ranging from medical expenses to compensation for permanent disability and death, this policy empowers individuals to live with confidence and security.

Insurfeel Initiative, born out of extensive research highlighting the positive impact of insurance experiences, seeks to democratize access to insurance policies. By targeting specific groups and leveraging corporate social responsibility initiatives, Insurfeel aims to deepen insurance penetration, combat poverty, and bolster the profitability of the insurance industry.

In essence, the partnership between ARIAN and Insurfeel Initiative not only enriches the football tournament experience but also embodies a shared commitment to societal welfare and the promotion of financial security through insurance coverage.
