…..Vows to Consolidate on Legacies of His Predecessor—–
The newly deployed Customs Area Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service Sokoto/Zamfara Area Command, Comptroller Musa Omale has expressed readiness for building on his predecessor’s legacy in the area of revenue generation, sustaining the tempo of anti-smuggling and effective trade facilitation.
Comptroller Omale made this known on Tuesday when Comptroller Abdulhamid Ma’aji handed over the leadership of Nigeria Customs Service, Sokoto/Zamfara Area Command.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Customs Abdullahi Abubakar quoted him saying, “I promise that he will sustain the legacy of surpassing the revenue target by Comptroller Abdulhamid Ma’aji.”
He assured stakeholders that the Command will continue to facilitate legitimate trade. He also implores them to adhere to proper declaration and payment of appropriate duties.
Comptroller Omale also called on the officers to work together with him in synergy to achieve the desired result.
He is known to be an excellent officer of high repute and professionalism. He joined the Service in 1991 as an Assistant Superintendent and has served in various Commands and the Headquarters.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony which took place at the Area Command, Comptroller Abdulhamid Ma’aji urged officers and stakeholders to extend to his successor the same support he received while at the helm of the Command.
