He addressed the command’s revenue target, which stood at over 801 Billion Naira with just three months left in the year. Determined to meet this challenge, he declared, “We must collect 48 percent of the remaining revenue.
“What followed was nothing short of extraordinary. Within a mere 11 working days of his resumption, the command exceeded its monthly target by an astonishing 120 percent.
Comptroller Nnadi praised the dedication of his staff, stating, “We have been able to collect our set target of N5.2 Billion naira once proving achievable.
“The importance of this achievement was emphasized by Ag Comptroller General’s press conference paper, which identified key performance indicators for the Nigeria Customs Service revealing critical gaps that needed immediate attention.
Comptroller Nnadi took this to heart and initiated strategies to address these gaps within the Tincan Island Port Area Command.In a symbolic gesture, the Nigerian flag now flies proudly above the Area Controller’s office on the Google platform, signifying the command’s newfound global presence and prominence.
