The Divisional Police Officer of ‘B’ Division, Warri, Delta State, CSP Umar Onana has requested support from traditional rulers, civil society organisations, youths leaders and other stakeholders in the area to curb cultism, kidnapping, and other heinous crimes in the state.

The police boss also warned criminal elements in Warri and its environs to relocate from the division or repent in their own interest, threatening that he is out to fight the anti-cult war in the state frontally.

CSP Onana, who has just assumed duty in the division, made the appeal and warning when he paid courtesy visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Warri Correspondents Chapel where he specifically called for active support from media practitioners and other whistle blowers in crime bursting activities.

The DPO reiterated that the police could not fight and win the war against criminals without the active support of the public.

He said, “Collaboration of members of the public with the police in the fight against these monsters causing havoc in the society is highly imperative to burst the rings of the criminals.

“Collaboration with the police in the fight against cultism and kidnapping would help to win the war.”
