EXMAN To Hold 6th AGM In Asaba July 15th To 17th

The sixth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), is set to hold this weekend from the 15th to 17th of July, 2022, in Asaba, Delta State capital.

 

According to the Publicity Secretary of the association, Orunkoyi Adedeji, the three-day event will critically examine the theme: ‘Facing Forward’ with focus on the scorecard of the association’s executives as their first term winds down.

 

According to Adedeji, this year’s AGM is taking place in Asaba to enable the association establish a presence within the South-Southern axis of the country, with a bi-annual rotation to other regions of the country.

 

The event which is scheduled to hold between Friday 15th July and Sunday 17th July will have the Tunji Adeyinka-led EXMAN Exco and members pay a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Delta State and the Vice-Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Arthur Okowa.

 

The association will also facilitate sessions at some select tertiary institutions within the state in a bid to bridge the gap between town and gown, a move to intimate students about career opportunities and prospects in the experiential and activations marketing sector.

 

Speaking on the theme of the AGM, ‘Facing Forward’ will be Bolanle Austen-Peters (BAP), one of Africa’s most prolific multiple award-winning producer and director whose latest movie, “The Man of God” was recently released on Netflix, as keynote speaker.

 

There will also be an induction of new member-agencies into the association’s fold.

 

The high point of the AGM however, is the relaunch of EXMAN’s Certified Brand Ambassadors Program (ECBAP), which was originally launched by the association in 2016. It is an initiative designed to re-organize the operating structure of the activation industry by establishing a central register of field activation personnel across the country, while also offering on-line and distance learning as well as a year-round group life and personal accident cover to brand ambassadors recruited by any of EXMAN’s member agencies.

The Certified Brand Ambassadors programme is intended to be the foundation of a more responsible and structured vocational development programme as a way of combating youth unemployment, while also instilling better behaviour, discipline and professionalism within the experiential marketing industry which contributes over N30b annually.

 

EXMAN is the sectoral trade body for forward-looking experiential marketing communications and activation agencies in Nigeria and employs over 25,000 contract and part-time field activation personnel on behalf of brands. The association protects, promotes and regulates the activities of certified players within the experiential marketing industry in Nigeria. It has 45-member agencies and boast of over thirty billion naira as total billing.
