Governor Bello presents N147bn 2018 budget to Kogi Assembly

Kogi State government will in 2018 plans to spend the sum of N147,827,854,494.

According to the statement, the 2018 budget christened ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth’, was presented to the members of the Kogi State House of Assembly on Thursday by Governor Yahaya Bello.

The further analysis of the budget shown a decrease of N44,429,890,029 from that of 2017 budget.

Governor Bello said the budget places emphasis on sectors such as, Education, Healthcare, Agriculture, Mining and Solid Mineral.

Also, the governor explained that the budget will focus on provision of portable accessible safe water and a sustainable use of environment.

He assured that proper mechanism will be put in place to ensure effective implementation of the budget.

The breakdown of 2018 budget, disclosed that N63,829,361,233 for recurrent expenditure and N83,998,493,261 for capital expenditure.
