Image result for Kwara queries official over forfeited N150m propertyThe Kwara State Government on Friday issued a query to the Government House Accountant, Mr Razaq Momonu, for forfeiting a N150m property to the Federal Government.

Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of a Kwara State High Court, Ilorin, on Thursday ordered Momonu to forfeit the Asmau Plaza after the property was linked to him.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, said the Head of Service, Mrs Susan Oluwole, had directed that Momonu be issued a query over alleged corrupt practices.

Quoting from a letter signed by Alhaji Illiyasu Idris, the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare in the office of the HOS, Ajakaye said, “In line with the civil service rules and procedure and the anti-corruption posture of the new administration, the Head of Service, Mrs Susan Oluwole, on Friday ordered that the affected officer be issued a query immediately.

“And as part of the measures, a new Controller, Finance and Account has been posted to the Kwara State Government House.”

The Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had on Thursday secured the forfeiture of the Asmau Plaza linked to the civil servant, describing it as proceeds of crime.
