The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has finalized plans to host the Nigeria Manufacturers Summit. According to its Director General, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, mni, the Summit, initially scheduled for June, will now take place from July 2nd to 4th, 2024, at the prestigious State House Banquet Hall, Abuja. The event will commence daily at 9 am and promises to be a pivotal gathering for the manufacturing sector in Nigeria.
Ajayi-Kadir highlighted that the theme of the Summit, “Rethinking Manufacturing,” emphasizes the need for innovative strategies and approaches to enhance the efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector. The Summit aims to address critical issues such as overcoming constraints limiting sector performance, enhancing supply chain resilience, leveraging technology, and fostering a conducive business environment for sector growth.
He also announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will be the Special Guest of Honour at the Summit. The event will bring together relevant government ministries, departments, and agencies, multilateral and development partners, regional institutions, corporate entities, subject matter experts, and manufacturers from all sectors.

- Enhancing energy security and infrastructure development

The Nigeria Manufacturers Summit 2024 will feature engaging focus group discussions with high-level government officials, CEOs of manufacturing industries, industry experts, leaders of continental institutions, and thought leaders. The event will include insightful presentations on manufacturing performance, emerging trends, and best practices in the industry. Attendees will also have opportunities for networking and showcasing innovative Made in Nigeria products, technologies, and solutions in the manufacturing sector.
The summit is by invitation only and will welcome key stakeholders, professionals, and enthusiasts in the manufacturing industry. Given the importance of the discussions, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, a leading business membership and advocacy body dedicated to fostering a conducive atmosphere for the manufacturing sector, is collaborating with the Presidency, the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), and Ernst and Young (EY) to host the summit.
