May University Press Unveils Biography: ‘Sonni Tyoden- Tenacity of Life and Leadership’

May University Press, one of Nigeria’s most prolific Biography publishing firms, recently unveiled the biography of a formidable political leader, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos and current Deputy Governor of Plateau State, HE Professor Sonni Gwanle Tyoden. The book, ‘Sonni Tyoden- Tenacity of Life and Leadership,’ written by Udu Yakubu, Isaac Mankilik, Chijioke Wigwe, presented to an audience comprising some of Nigeria’s biggest political figures and business leaders, on the 19th of December 2020 in Jos, is available in both hard cover and paperback format.

 This exhaustively researched and well-timed tome, captures the totality of Prof Sonni Gwanle Tyoden’s academic, political and personal life experiences and offers readers an intimate look at his journey from childhood to the heights of Academia and politics. The book’s foreword was written by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State and Chairman, Northern Governors Forum, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Simon Bako Lalong, KSGG.


Speaking at the well-attended event, Professor Tyoden remarked that Grace and Faithfulness had been the definition of his life’s journey so far and vowed to continue to live a life of service to God, humanity and the society.
