Mobile banking theft: Diamond Bank issue app upgrade notice to customers

Hackers focus on stealing money from mobile banking as they are increasingly looking for any methods to adopts to penetrate customer bank accounts.

The management of Diamond bank plc has issued statement saying after arriving to a conclusion with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) relating to the mobile banking theft, the bank has been experiencing.

CBN has directed management of the bank that mobile app users should/must upgrade to the bank new security authentication system. This will enable a transaction code (alert) that will be sent to customer mobile number while issuing a transfer.

The management of the bank therefore issued directive statement to all customers using to upgrade now through. Failure to do upgrade will result to your account dormancy after 24 hours, bank noted.

Experts are of the opinion that the theft of bank card information and bank accounts online are now on the increaes as hackers adopts many strategies targeting smartphones and tablets on how to steals their money from bank accounts.
