South Africa’s net foreign reserves fall to $43.3bn

South Africa’s net foreign reserves fell to $43.266 billion in March 2019 from $43.659 billion in February.

This is according to the country’s Reserve Bank data which showed, that the gross reserves also dropped, to $49.679 billion at the end of March from $50.836 billion previously.

The forward position, which represents the central bank’s unsettled transactions, was at $2.047 billion in March from $1.369 billion in the previous month.
