Sterling Bank Plc says it is partnering with Malaria, Child, Maternal Mortality Eradication project to curb infant and maternal mortality.

A statement from the bank said the duo collaborated to produce a movie titled ‘Anave’ to bring awareness to the plight of the underprivileged Nigerian child and mother.

It stated that the film, which was written, produced and directed by Nollywood star, Nicolette Ndigwe, had the Chief Executive Officer, Sterling Bank, Abubakar Suleiman, and a former Minister of Information and Communications, Frank Nweke, as co-executive producers.

The Head of Technology and Digital Compliance, Sterling Bank, Mr Lekan Akintemi, said in the statement that the lender committed itself to be at the heart of Nigeria’s accelerated development by focusing on five critical sectors of the economy, which were health, education, agriculture, renewable energy and transport.

He stated, “It should not be surprising that we supported the production of Anave – a malaria, infant and maternal mortality advocacy movie – because it promotes health and improved access to healthcare for the most vulnerable in the society.”
