The Capital Market Committee to holds it first meeting in 2017

The Capital Market Committee (CMC) was mainly established to serve as a medium for exchange of ideas among market stakeholders as well as for feedback to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on how to continuously improve the market activities and regulation.

It is an industry-wide committee comprising members of the Commission, representatives of capital market operators and trade groups and other stakeholders. The CMC meets every quarter to deliberate on various issues affecting the market and other policy matters.

On that note that the Commission wishes to inform members of the Capital Market Committee (CMC) and relevant stakeholders that the First CMC Meeting in 2017 has been scheduled to hold as follows:

Venue: Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Date: Tuesday, 9thMay, 2017

Time: 10.00 am Prompt

The CMC interactive session with the media will take place the following day, Wednesday, 10thMay 2017 by 10.00am at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Lagos Zonal Office located at No 3, Idejo Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the statement posted on it website, the convener. SEC informed the stakehokders that attendance is strictly by invitation and admission into the venue will be upon presentation of the CMC Identity Card due to the nature of the meeting.
