UBA sets to close its 2016 Accounts Records

Board of the Directors of United Bank for Africa –UBA- PLc is scheduled to meet in Lagos by 10am on Friday, January 27, 2017 to consider the accounts and financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2016 and proposal for final dividends.

Accordingly, in compliance with Nigerian Stock Exchange-NSE- Rule Book and the amendments to the listing Rules, UBA plc hereby declare the commencement of the closed period for trading in the bank’s shares on January 11, 2017 in respect of the accounts and financial statements for the period ended December 31, 2016.

In a statement signed and released by Bili Odum, Group Company Secretary on behalf of the board to investing public through the floor of the NSE over the weekend disclosed that henceforth, No Director, Person discharging managerial responsibility, employees with sensitive information, Advisers and consultants of the bank and their connected persons may directly or indirectly deal in the securities (shares & bonds) of the bank until the 24 hours after the release of the Audited Accounts and Financial Statements of the Group for the period ended December 31, 2016 to the NSE and extension, the general public.
