UBA Unveils Exciting ‘Back2School’ Package: Exclusive Discounts and Benefits for Students and Parents

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Africa’s Global Bank, is thrilled to introduce its highly anticipated “Back2School” package, a comprehensive initiative aimed at providing exclusive discounts and benefits for both students and their parents as the new school session commences.

UBA’s commitment to supporting a seamless educational journey for students and easing the financial burdens of parents is at the forefront of this innovative offering. Prince Ayewoh, UBA’s Head of Retail, Products, and Sales, emphasized the bank’s recognition of education’s pivotal role in shaping the future. This led to the development of strategic offerings and collaborations to enable families to embrace the new school season with enthusiasm and confidence.

“We want our customers – both long-standing and new ones – to know that we are more than just a financial institution; we are a dependable partner in their daily journey,” stated Ayewoh. “With exclusive discounts and benefits tailored for both children and parents, we aim to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with every new school season. Under the UBA ‘Back2School’ package, parents stand to enjoy a range of benefits, including scholarships, affordable healthcare plans, and a 13th-month cash reward for their children when they open and maintain a UBA Kiddies and Teens Account with N5,000 for 12 months or N10,000 for six months.

Furthermore, the bank is offering a UBA Personal loan, granting parents access to up to N30 million to ensure their children receive a world-class education.

Alero Ladipo, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, elaborated on the array of offerings available to the bank’s customers this season. She explained that by using a UBA prepaid or debit card, customers can access a world of discounts for their children and themselves.

“This season, UBA presents an array of exciting benefits that come with their prepaid or debit cards,” Ladipo noted. “For instance, students can enjoy a 10% discount on ULesson packages when customers pay with their UBA card, ensuring their after-school learning is both affordable and effective.”

Ladipo continued, “Additionally, the bank has partnered with i-Fitness Gym, offering an exclusive opportunity for parents to de-stress during the school year. By paying with a UBA card, parents can enjoy up to 30% off at any of their gyms nationwide, promoting a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.”

Ladipo also highlighted the bank’s partnership with Aura by Transcorp, where parents can book a rejuvenating staycation package through the Aura by Transcorp app and enjoy a generous 5% discount. “It is a perfect way for parents to recharge while entrusting their children’s education to capable hands,” she explained. Furthermore, parents can also receive a relaxing massage at Oriki Spa, enjoying a 10% discount using their UBA cards.
