In celebration of World Food Day 2024, Capacious Farms & Foods Nigeria has announced an exciting Arts and Essay Contest for Junior Secondary School students aged 11-14. Themed “Feeding Our Future: Innovating for a Healthier World,” this initiative aims to inspire young minds to engage in critical thinking about food security, sustainable farming, and innovative agricultural practices. The contest will run from September 16 to October 16, 2024, in Lagos.
Chi Tola, Managing Director of Capacious Farms & Foods Nigeria, emphasized the importance of the contest in shaping the future of agriculture. “This contest is designed to motivate the next generation to think creatively and critically about food security. It’s an opportunity for young students to share their ideas and showcase their talents, with exciting prizes awaiting the winners,” she said.
In addition to the contest, the event will feature a series of exhibitions, including diverse ethnic foods from across Nigeria and artworks created by contest participants. Attendees will also enjoy cultural displays, prize giveaways, and the chance to engage with food sustainability advocates.
